Abstract
The Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. purchased the La Crosse Plow Works plant in 1929 and operated foundy and manufacturing facilities on 38 acres in the Front, Third, and State streets areas until closing in 1969. The publications in this collection are employee-published newsletters and sales periodicals.

Abstract
The Fred R. Hegenbarth Papers related to Hegenbarth's 34-year career at Allis-Chalmers in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and include photographs, certificates, retirement papers, commemorative pins, a banner for UAW Local 401, and other assorted materials. Also included is a seniority list of Allis-Chalmers employees hired between 1929 and 1939.

Photographs from Allis Chalmers of tractors from a photo shoot for the Upper Mississippi Valley Soil Conservation Experiment Station, La Crosse and send to a Mr Steenberg in Cashton. One of the photographs was used in promotional material which is also included.
