These 16 volumes are property assessments of the City of La Crosse arranged chronologically by year for 1919-1929. The volumes are arranged chronologically; therein by legal description, and an index to the additions contained within that volume are pasted to the inside front cover. The legal description contains the addition name, the lot and block number of the property. Owners of the property are also listed.

The assessment on a property may have been contested, and these volumes should not be confused with an official tax list/record. We doubt these volumes would show adjustments made on contested assessments by the Board of Review.
