Records of First Evangelical Lutheran Church (also called First Lutheran Church), 1859-1947, of La Crosse, Wisconsin. This congregation is affiliated with the Wisconsin Synod. Previous names were German Evangelical Lutheran Church and German Lutheran Church.

This is the oldest formally organized Lutheran congregation in the city, organized in 1859. The church records include baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials, 1859-1947; and communions, 1859-1870; 1915-1968. The older records were written in the German script and language. If the original volumes had pagination (page numbers), then these page numbers are included in the reel list below. There is an index to burials available separately.
