Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection consists of studies of local individuals compiled by Central students as part of a La Crosse, Wisconsin, centennial project in 1942. Students interviewed subjects on aspects of their life and recollections of early La Crosse and the surrounding area. Most are general in subject, but some are more specific such as social welfare work, social life, education, winter sports, dress making, river travel, and the like. Transcribed interviews include general recollections, biographical interviews, and specific topical interviews. Discussion outlines are found in the collection as well, but there are no audio or moving image versions of these interviews.
