La Crosse, Wisconsin, Engineering Department Drawings
Abstract
The City of La Crosse Engineering Department is responsible for drawing plats of additions to the city of La Crosse, curb and gutter design, some bridge design and other engineering drawings. The Engineering Dept. works closely with the City of La Crosse’s Office of Public Works.
This series are aperture cards containing City of La Crosse Engineering Department drawings of lighting, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, curbs and gutters, water mains, wells, traffic signals, alley paving, grading, and street and alley openings. There is a short subject index in the inventory highlighting the more interesting drawings, such as the Pump House remodeling, Mary E. Sawyer Auditorium, fire stations, libraries, La Crosse Center, and ice skating facilities at Green Island. A full index is available at the Engineering Dept.
