Abstract

An essay written by Susan Joseph for high school composition class based on interviews with Marie Mielke and her daughter Elizabeth "Betty." The focus on the interviews was about the former Goosetown neighborhood, located in La Crosse, Wis., mostly taken over by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Also included are three Winona State College recital programs of Betty as a solo soprano from 1971-1975.
