Abstract
The Helene (Erickson) Hayek Papers are a collection of papers and correspondence relating to the relationship between Helene "Billeye" V. (Erickson) Hayek and Robert "Bob" W. Hayek. The collection includes greeting cards and other correspondance between the couple, a ticket stub and a dance card for a dance held on April 2, 1932, a marriage certificate for the couple dated May 17, 1935 from Dubuque, Iowa, and a page from a scrapbook which contains a photograph of the couple upon their marriage and two newspaper clippings--one announcing the couple at a local dance and the other announcing the couple's marriage. Materials will be of particular interest and use when examining courship practices of the 1930s.
