Historical Note
La Crosse County Investing, Loan, and Savings Society was a German-American organization in which members paid an entrance fee and thereafter a monthly fee to the organization for investment purposes. Members were also able to open savings accounts and take out loans from the organization as well.
In 1895 the organization was located in the building at the corner of 4th and Pearl Streets, on the 5th floor in rooms 5, 6, 7, and 8. The acting president was William Doerflinger.
