Abstract

Kenneth R. Jenkerson (1945-2002) was a lifelong La Crosse, Wis., resident and local historian who had a passion for photography, printing, and local history. He was a frequent visitor to estate sales and auctions in the area.

This collection of slides was among the items sold at auction after his death. Generally, the slides were taken by unknown people over a long period of time and were likely purchased by Jenkerson locally. Most images are of the La Crosse area but are generally not identified and some are not dated.

The collection is arranged by alphabetically by subject. Larger categories include bridges, circus events, parades, farm and country scenes, and the river.
