Abstract

Records of the George Hoare & Company Druggists include a sample prescription book (1858), two newspaper articles on Hebberd Drugs, and a paper written by David J. Marcou, May 1993: "An Historical Report on the Oldest Continuous Business in La Crosse, Wisconsin: The Story of the Dumont-Hebberd Company." George Hoare & Company Druggists became Howard Drug Company, which was later bought by Hebberd Drugs.

The collection also includes the amended articles of incorporation (1920), various legal documents (1895-1937) which are mostly mortgages and deeds associated with Spence-McCord land, and a stockholders’ meeting book (1905-1947).
