Abstract

The "ABC Buyer's Guide" began publication August 5, 1970. In September of 1981, the title was changed to "Buyer's Guide." In June of 1990, "Buyer's Guide" ceased publication, and was replaced with "Foxxy Shopper" (first issue published July 1990).

From February 1968 through July 1970, "The Merchant" was published. This item ceased publication with the first issue of the "ABC Buyer's Guide."

Friedrich L. Strauss Papers

Abstract

Friedrich “Fred” L. Strauss lived in La Crosse from 1881 until his death in 1916. He was employed for many years at the Voight and Ritter wagon works.

Papers include orders, receipts, and correspondence between Strauss and others. All are related to his personal business dealings. A collection of family photographs is also found in the collection. Most of the photographs are unidentified other than coming from Friedrich Strauss.
