- The Kendricks held exhibits at their home and gallery at 127 South 11th St.
- 1971
- The Gallery started selling art supplies.
- The Kendricks renovated parts of the property to add the Beneath-The-Behind (Basement Gallery) and the Below-The-Behind (Boat House Gallery).
- The Behind-the-Brewery Gallery was publicly opened at 1026 South Front St. in April.
- The Gallery held a Beer Mugs exhibition.
- 1972
- The Gallery held its Second Annual Beer Mug Show.
- 1974
- The Kendricks created a $200 interest grant in the name of Carol Hutchins for the UW-La Crosse All-Student Art Show.
- The Kendricks started funding art awards or interest grants.
- 1975
- The Gallery started offering art educational classes.

Abstract
Dale and Betty Kendrick owned and operated the Behind The Brewery Gallery at 1026 South Front St. in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from 1971 through 2009. The Gallery supported local artists who committed to completing masters degrees in art or art education, and sponsored art students through art awards or interest grants in conjunction with the UW-La Crosse Annual All-Student Art Show. The Gallery was sold in 2011.
Materials in this collection have been arranged chronologically and include exhibition cards, event invitations, photos, and correspondence related to the Gallery. In the last binder are reminiscences of former students and artists of the Gallery.
